From a React Button to a SQL Server Record.

FULL-STACK DEVELOPMENT

A React interface and an ASP.NET MVC/Core backend have different responsibilities. React presents information and captures user input. The backend applies business rules, checks permissions and communicates with the database.

Follow a single request

Imagine a user submitting a support ticket. React collects the subject and description, validates basic input, and sends an HTTP request to an API endpoint. The backend validates the request again, checks the user’s access, saves the ticket and returns a response.

Make the API contract clear

Agree on request fields, response shapes and error formats before wiring up the interface. A predictable contract makes loading states, validation messages and successful updates easier to implement.

Handle the experience around the request

A useful interface shows when an operation is running and prevents accidental duplicate submissions. If the request fails, preserve entered data and give the user a clear next step.

Keep secrets behind the API

Database credentials and private service keys belong on the server. Browser code should only receive the data and configuration it needs to render the application.
